My website was infected and my hosting provider wiped it clean and copied the clean backup to it. The backup was a cloned website and is functioning normally. The Divi theme is broken and I am trying to install a new version (It is working on three other sites.) I get this error when I go to the Install Theme tab: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the?support forums.
Then, when I go to the Upload Theme to install it goes through it’s gyrations and gets this error:

Installing theme from uploaded file: Divi (1).zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Updating the theme…

Removing the old version of the theme…

The update cannot be installed because some files could not be copied. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. footer.php

    Theme update failed.

My provider checked and verified the permissions are correct.
I don’t have much hair left, but I’m pulling it out. Can anyone help me?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I can see you already installed the latest version of the Divi theme (4.25.2 as of this writing)… though it seems you still have a fair bit of configuration to do.

If you’ve successfully overcome the problem of installing the theme, then please mark your post as RESOLVED.

    Thank you.

The latest version is 4.26. I resolved the problem by using FTP and uploading a theme from a working website.
