• So I just installed wordpress on my hosting server today. I’ve been playing around with it a little bit, trying to customize it, but it won’t let me install any themes, plugins, headers, or polls.

When installing a new theme: I click install, a window pops up and I click install now. WP prompts me for my ftp connection information. Everytime I type the correct login info, i get this message –

    “Downloading install package from https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/download/aesthete.1.2.1.zip…

Download failed. Could not create Temporary file.”

When installing plugins, I click install now, and once again get prompted for my ftp info. after typing the correct info I recieve this message –

    “Downloading install package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/google-sitemap-generator.3.2.4.zip…

Download failed. Could not create Temporary file.”

Even when I simply try to upload a header from my pc, it will upload up to 100% and then give me this message “Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/saveamericanliberty.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

I can change the background color, but not the image.

I installed wordpress in the main directory of my website on my host server. I’m fairly new to all this, so I’m hoping that those descriptions will be a give away to something I’m doing wrong on the hosting side. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Spencer Lanoue
