installing WordPress

    Hello,
    I am trying to install WordPress and am following some help pages.
    The help pages instruct me not to create a password for a localhost site.
    When I try to carry out the install process I find this will not allow, no password.
    The button is greyed out.
    If the present installation now requires a password for localhost how do I create a password please?
