• Hi there,

Just wondering if someone can help me? I may be totally out of my depth here but I have basic web development knowledge and have recommended we build a business intranet for our office to help with communication issues. Ive used wordpress a little for websites, but this was set up by a 3rd party and hosted online etc. I was really hoping to use WordPress to have a play about and see if I can put together a useable intranet to use in the office. The thing is, because its going to be hosted internally on our server, I don’t have FTP / host details to input when installing the software. I was just wondering if anyone can help with setup for this? or even if its possible?

I had visions of being able to download the software and then save the files on the local server and give access to the pages via a desktop link. I’ve looked at some of the plugins for wordpress including calendars and memo boards etc which would look great, but no clue how to get the initial software up.

    Many thanks
