Installing WordPress on 1and1 – "domain name has just been registered"

  • So I am trying to create a new website and can successfully edit my themes etc on the wordpress dashboard after uploading WordPress through FileZilla however I have never been able to view a preview or the website live – all that comes up is the default page that simply says “This domain name has just been registered.”

    I have created a website before using both 1and1 and wordpress and this didn’t ever happen so I’m not sure how to fix the issue.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I don’t have a massive understanding of all these settings at all

  • I think 1and1 has a default index.php or index.html in it’s web documents folder. Make sure to remove that before pushing the WordPress install.
