  • I would love to know if this is possible. I have heard of a Google Drive hosted website, but that sounds fishy.

Is there anywhere in “Google Apps” aka “Google for Work” that can hold a WordPress installation? Thanks!

    Hi Alanudi,

Well Google Drive is not a web server in any way, so it is fishy indeed.

But there are now many good solutions where you can host a WordPress website with minimal technical requirements (just a few buttons to push in general).

    – Heroku
    – Digital Ocean
    – OpenShift (from Red Hat)

All these solutions are high-performance (most running on SSDs) and provide you with buttons to auto install WP (directly from a dashboard – tested DO & OS). Nice thing with these 3 is, they auto-update WordPress, so you don’t have to worry about it ever. Most hosts in the world are moving towards that too (I talk about WordPress core, not themes and stuff).
