Installing WordPress on iPage

Hi,

I am trying to build a website using WordPress. I have got my domain and hosting site (ipage), but when I try to download WordPress, the following error message comes up.

“We have tried everything we could, but we can’t seem to sync up with your web server. This could be DNS related or a Server Error, or perhaps you have a custom header (PHP or .htaccess) or are part of a “Cash for Domain Parking” program.”

I haven’t done anything with iPage or the domain except attempting to install WordPress, so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I am a complete newbie to this and just wanted a straightforward website.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated (particularly if in plain English!). Obviously as I’m having this error, I have no live site at the moment..
