Installing WordPress on second domain name

  • I have installed Word press on one domain; but when I try and install it on a second domain an error message comes up telling me there are already files in my main directory. How do I set up a sub directory so that i can install the second domain?

  • Do the following:

    • Create a subfolder via FTP
    • Set the domain to point to that folder (ie /folder)
    • When you install WP in that folder, change the database prefix to something besides wp_ or you could potentially have issues with your database.
