Thank you. I followed instructions in: “How to Install XAMPP and WordPress Locally on PC/Windows”, including changes to wp-config-sample.php and changing name to wp-config.php. Then opened Firefox and typed https://localhost/wordpress (my directory name) Result: Object not found! Error 404

did you try checking your .htaccess file? Did you follow installation instructions?

Also, you should check is everything fine with your .htaccess file (try copy/pasting WordPress defaults):

you can upload the files on hosting sever using file manage. And for any help you can ask here in free.
