• I am feeling pretty stupid currently, granted I am kind of new to it all. But I’ve uploaded all the files and I’ve altered the wp-config.php file but it keeps saying, “There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file.”
What am I doing wrong all of my input is correct.
    Some help for the novice?

  • I’m getting the same error message when I try and use the import-b2.php.
The exact error I get is: ‘There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. Double check that you updated wp-config-sample.php with the proper database connection information and renamed it to wp-config.php.’
I’ve looked at the dang wp-config.php file so many times now that I know it by heart. I know it’s there. What is the reason this is error is happening?

I’m just guessing here but when you re-named the file you didn’t use a “_” instead of a “-” after “wp” or maybe a comma instead of a fullstop (period) before “php” ? Both the upgrade.php and the install.php (I don’t know which it is you’re doing) should be in the “wp-admin” folder and the “wp-config.php” file should be immediately outside that folder.
