Instant Website Destruction

  • This plugin puts your site in troubleshooting mode, disables all 116 of the plugins I had installed and activated. Then when you disable the plugin (since you don’t want to go through the 116 plugins, one at a time, and turn them all back on. There’s also no way to turn more than one plugin back on at once???), it leaves all the other plugins disabled so there is no way to restore the site to it’s original state without re-activating every plug-in (if you can still remember which ones were active before), adding all the widgets back again and generally spending 3 hours putting everything back how it was. Fortunately I just took a backup so fingers crossed, it will only take me around an hour and a half to fix the issues from this plugin. Thanks whoever wrote this, it actually causes more damage than most of the virus’ I’ve created.

    Hiya,

    Sorry to hear you had a bad experience here. I’m a bit puzzled, as it sounds like you are still in troubleshooting mode (if you can only enable one thing at a time), which means taht once you leave the mode, your plugins should all be active again for you as well (and they were all active for your users all along).

    If that’s not the case, I would love to investigate why this didn’t work as intended for you if you’d open a support topic ??

    116 plugins? That’s insane. More than 15 is already pushing it.

    But it seems this user stepped it up to 117 with this one.
    Instant Website Destruction = 116 plugins
    No site should ever have that many plugins.

    Apart from all the Plugins he has installed
    it’s the last line that get’s me:

    “it actually causes more damage than most of the virus’ I’ve created”

    anyway, it’s brightned up my Sunday night for 5 minuets, not fixed my problem
    but it brought a smill to my face
