Hi @theblackedoutpanda,
Sorry to hear you’re having issues on your site after activating Smush as this certainly isn’t a desired behavior and we didn’t have similar reports about this.
To get your site back up the quickest way is to access your files via FTP or cPanel and rename /wp-content/plugins/wp-smushit/ folder which will deactivate the plugin and you should have access to your site again.
We would like to investigate this further in order to see what caused the issue for you and if it’s something we can prevent from happening.
In order to do this please open a support ticket and provide us with some additional information about the issue and your setup:
– Do you see any errors on your site?
– Which PHP version do you have running?
– Which WP version you are using on your site?
– Enable Debug Log and see if you have any errors when Smush is activated
– Perform a conflict test, preferably on a staging site, to see if the site is working fine when only Smush is enabled (other plugins are disabled and default WP theme is active)
If you need further help with getting us any of the info above do let us know in the support ticket and we will assist you further with this.
Best regards,
Predrag
