• Hello, I have been getting more web site designer clients than I expected. I need to find a way to work faster. I have been making web sites using instantwp then I could quickly repeat myself onto the wordpress online. Most have been small local business word press sites.

I would love to get some feedback on https://wpdesktop.com/ It looks like a fast easy way to move the themes from instantwp https://www.instantwp.com/ to the web hosting.

I’ve also been looking at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/duplicator/

Any advice or thoughts on the best way to move wordpress for local to their live host. And/or management software?

I understand how to set up a database in cpanel and how to use ftp but I’m more of a 3D designer and only doing this as a side job for local small business who want a wordpress site they can post on.

    Thank you for your time
    Kimberly

  • There are many ways to do this; here is my method:

    – build the client site online in a sub directory of my hosting account
    – this way, it is easy to get their feedback
    – once they are satisfied, and the balance of the contracted amount has shown up in my “available balance”, I simply manually copy it to their hosting account; takes about 10 minutes, tops.

If one were to be doing this “numerous times” per day, then yes, some “automation” may be beneficial. Your “mileage” may vary ??

Hi, thanks for the input. By manually, do you mean back up the wordpress files then import them into the new wordpress?

    Thanks
