Under Download Options use Redirect File instead of Output file.

I use exactly Redirect File.

Are you uploading the APK or linking the APK? If it is the later, Google or the other website might be blocking the direct link to the APK if you are linking it directly.

I recommend you just linking to the AppStore page itself like the link you posted. I tested that and it works.

I am very like your plugin and use it on 2 web-sites.
Maybe in a future update, this problem will be solved… For example, in the plugin with the same name (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com) .apk format does not change.

I can’t reproduce the problem. I have uploaded Netflix 3.8.0 APK https://lesterchan.net/wordpress_dev/download/com.netflix.mediaclient-1.apk and it works fine for me.
