Instore doesnt sync with online

The in-store sales, don’t sync with the online version of the shop.
so when a product sells the last (managed) stock in store this is still available online so could mean I can essentially sell a product that is no longer in stock.Everything is up to date, the plugins are up to date, software on the POS system is up to date, WordPress is up to date also.
So I’ve had to manually go through the website and remove all the products that are sold out (they sold out on Saturday in-store) but they hadn’t updated.
