Instructions for posting to Facebook

  • Well, this is embarrassing, but I am stuck on trying to set up auto posting to Facebook when i create a WordPress post, and I wonder if someone could walk me through it?

    I cannot even get past the OpenGraph part. From following the instructions here: https://developers.facebook.com/wordpress/ in the “Enable Publishing to an Author’s Timeline” section, I do as asked and then hit the “submit” button and get the following error:

    “Publish Actions
    You must publish at least one action to your Timeline using this action type. Review the documentation.

    Missing App Logo and Icon
    You must provide an app logo and app icon before submitting this action. You can add a logo and icon on the Basic Settings page.”

    Action type is “publish” “article”
    Object type is “article”

    I’m not sure where to go from here – i appear to have a logo and am not sure where i am supposed to publish this action when it wont accept it – what am i missing?

    Go to App Details and create two icons according to the requested size for the primary icons and upload them. They icons must be the exact sizes requested 16×16 and 75×75.

    But even with this it won’t work. When you attempt to submit the action you will get another error ??
