    Hi,

I am using RankMath to determine the SEO score of our web pages. One of the requirements for a good SEO score is to have internal links. We are currently using Otter to display associated posts at the bottom of the page as we have found the Otter block to be the most visually appealing however this isn’t being picked up by RankMath. I have asked the developers at RankMath and they have given a link for developers to integrate their plugin with RankMath SEO. Would it be possible to add this feature to Otter?

    Hi @hbtclaura,

Thank you for using Otter Blocks.

Sure, I can forward this idea to our products team to be considered in a future version of the plugin.

Would it be possible to share the URL of the page where the posts from Otter are being shared so I can see exactly which block is used there?

    Regards,
    Stefan

    That’s excellent, thank you Stefan.

This is a link to one of the pages where the block is being used: HBTC | IT Technical Salesperson. It is towards the bottom of the page under “We Also Offer”.

If you need any more information, please let me know.

    Many thanks,

    Laura

    Hi @hbtclaura,

    Thank you for the clarification.

I checked the mentioned section in the page and it looks like that block is from the WooCommerce plugin and not from Otter, as it’s called Products by Attribute – https://vertis.d.pr/i/w66jta.

In case I didn’t check the correct section, feel free to share more details about it.

For improving the compatibility of this block with the RankMath plugin, you can contact its author. There isn’t much we can do about it as it’s not part of Otter.

    Regards,
    Stefan

    Hi @stefancotitosu

Thank you very much for taking my feedback on board and implementing this. I have just updated Otter Blocks however it looks like it is causing RankMath SEO score not to pick up lots of other areas now. For example, with the new version of Otter Blocks enabled RankMath SEO is saying that there are no external links within my post when I have 3! I have rolled OtterBlocks back to version 2.3.4 and this issue has been resolved so I think it is a conflict with the new version of Otter Blocks and RankMath?

I have put links below of the exact same post showing the RankMath SEO with the new v2.4.1 of Otter Blocks enabled (you can see the SEO score is 41) and then again with Otter Blocks rolled back to v2.3.4 (you can see it is picking up more here and the SEO score is 71)

    In Otter Blocks v2.4.1: https://snipboard.io/jIcJGb.jpg

    In Otter Blocks v2.3.4: https://snipboard.io/qOIF7U.jpg

    Thanks,

    Laura

    Hello @hbtclaura,

We’re sorry about the inconvenience created!

The issue has been identified and a release for it has been made. It should not happen anymore if you are using the latest version of the plugin (2.5.2).

    Best regards,

    Irinel
