Integrate to wordpress categories

first of all: thank you for a great plugin.
I’m trying to create an intranet site with external features. I have few files I wish to be seen on local network. The site itself is available to internet but only via login. I’ve set group with User Access Manager and mapped it with local IP-addresses. I’ve also set it up so wordpress “local” category can be seen only via that group. Unfortunately WP-filebase uses its own categories and I can’t map the group for those. Is there any way around it, or could I somehow map WP-Filebase categories to wordpress ones?
