integrate with Shipworks

    Hi, we are attempting to test the free version before we purchase the pro. We are selling physical products and need one serial number assigned to each physical product sold. We use Shipworks and have it integrated with Woocommerce with the Advanced Creation Plugin:

    We need the serial number to be passed to Shipworks as a line item. Our last serial number wp plugin (now abandoned) would insert the serial number near the sku (right under each product) in Shipworks when Woocommerce orders were received by Shipworks. I’m assuming this was passed from Woocommerce to Shipworks in the order meta.

    Is this possible with your plugin, even if it’s only in the pro version?

    Just wanted to say a quick thank you for your interest in WooCommerce Serial Numbers. We take all customer inquiries, requests, and comments seriously and do our best to help in whatever way possible.

    When a serial number is created using WooCommerce Serial Numbers plugin, it adds the serial number in a custom table. Once a customer orders a serial number-enabled product, the serial number will be assigned against the order. In effect, it doesn’t get attached as a line item.

    If you want to extract serial numbers from the orders, you can check our functions in the plugin.

    Can you please provide more info about your functions? Is there a function to add the serial number as a line item in the order meta?

    Hello,

    Serial numbers can’t be added as a line item in the order meta. They are added against the product ID within the order. Once a serial number-enabled product is ordered, WooCommerce Serial Numbers runs a query, and if serial numbers are found, they will appear in a table on the order page.
