Integrating with External Storage

Hi,

Is there any possibility to integrate WooComerce with an external warehouse SOAP service?

We have an external warehouse in place, which handles shipping for us. We would like to check the stock in the warehouse, when a user adds an item, it can only be added to the cart if the item is in warehouse, also there needs to be a check if the cart is updated with more quantities.

Next we would like to that the stock is checked once more when the user click on checkout.

Also we need to create a workflow so that we can place the order in the warehouse system after the payment is made successfully.

I have browsed through the source, and can see there are possibility to do it, but I would like to know if there is a another cleaner way to solve these problems (and not modify the source itself).
