Do I understand this correctly? Other than various other goodies as utilizing Tailwind seamlessly in WordPress I am more interested in the specific Bricks builder integration. I checked your documentation for the WindPress but it is in development I guess.

This is from your documentation “HTML to native elements: Convert Tailwind CSS HTML to native elements in the editor.” but no more details about that.

Does this mean I could for example create some parts (or use existing ones) from Shuffle https://shuffle.dev/tailwind (or https://www.tailwindawesome.com/ or any other free or paid repository) – paste it into my bricks and it they are converted to bricks element (with Tailwind styling)?

Such as assuming my Tailwind configuration is somewhat similar to theirs – I’ll see exactly same layout but it will be converted to Bricks section, containers, blocks, div etc?

p.s. I noticed I am the only one posting in the Support section. Sorry about that. But to my defense I actually tried Bricks and I am now ex Elementor hostage. Bricks is unbelievable. I feel like I have been living like in comma until I discovered Bricks.

Hello @sino27, the integration with Bricks Builder is only available in the pro version. It’s not in development; it works perfectly, although, of course, the plugin is continuously being improved. Regarding the “HTML to native elements” feature, it means you can paste any Tailwind block, and it will convert it, as you mentioned, into native Bricks elements so that you can continue editing it in the editor without any issues. The Tailwind classes are applied to each element just like in the original block, so if you have a similar configuration, it should look the same. I hope this helps! If you need further clarification, feel free to keep asking ??

Thanks. In the meantime I ordered Windpress. Since I was a beginner and because in the past I used the previous version (YabeSiul) which worked perfectly out of the box, by installing Windpress on clean WordPress I realized it’s bananas. Left click in the Bricks to open the Windpress variable picker does nothing.

Then I realized my configuration wizard is empty, unlike YabeSiul which comes with sorta preconfigured styles. That being said I noticed Windpress doesn’t have a wizard or initial styling definitions. However, if I install YabeSiul and then migrate to Windpress – Windpress picks YabeSioul values.

I am aware you probably wait for Tailwind 4 to go into the final phase but wouldn’t it be useful to offer us some kind of preconfigured styles or a wizard based on the already stable alpha of Tailwind 4.0?

Are there any good docs on learning Bricks/Windpress or something general you could recommend. In all honest I think when Bricks releases “component” feature in Bricks 2.0 this will be a new paradigm shift and then my only concern to Tailwind is gone. One will be able to build components with Tailwind – in Bricks. So basically “utility first” complaint for WordPress page builders and Tailwind will be eradicated. I think future is bright and Windpress has big potential there.

Also would it be impolite to ask can you share your Wiondpress configuration somehow, I would love to learn from it as it is.

If you are already a user of yabe SIUL, then you don’t have to worry, you can use the same configurations on both sites. The only difference is that WindPress doesn’t yet have the wizard that SIUL did, but I didn’t use it anyway, although I know it’s one of the things that make it easier to customize the Tailwind configuration. Tailwind 3.0 is still an option, but only if you’re ready to work a bit more with it. We have a private community for using Tailwind with Bricks and, in the future, with Gutenberg. The downside is that it’s for Spanish speakers, but if you’re interested, we’ll make an effort to help you. ?? If not, you can also look for the community on Facebook, and I’ll try to help you at least occasionally. The community is https://flowtitude.com

How to enter there? This seems really exciting. I’ll just use translation tools. Thanks again.

Ah I see it’s a paid enter. That is also fine. I’ll purchase one month perhaps it is exactly what I need and then I can continue paying for it no problem.

Oh damn. I see pretty much all of your content is exactly what I need but the videos are in Spannish which is understandable but really not usable for me. Too bad for me as your website seems to be awesome repository. All the best.

    Hi @sino27,

The integration for Bricks are available to use.

Yes, the “HTML to Native” copy-paste feature will convert it to close-compatible Bricks elements. It may not be exactly 1:1, but it will do 90% of your work instead of recreating it from the beginning.
