Integration with Paid Memberships Pro?

I have Paid Memberships Pro (free version) installed on my site. Is there any (non-techy and beginner-friendly) way that I can get newly-registered members to appear on my Newsletter subscriber list?

I’ve tried installing the WP User / WP Registraton add-on from Newsletter but that doesn’t seem to have done anything so I’m not sure that PMPro “follow the standard WordPress convention of fire the user_register event” as stipulated here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/addons/extended-features/wpusers-extension/
