Integration with Ultimate Member

Is it possible to integrate wpForo with Ultimate Member plugin?

This is on top of our to-do list. We’ll try to integrate it as much as possible. UM has own permission system for tabs so we could not add wpForo profile tabs in UM profile page. We’ll check it again.

if not how to change what is viewed in account tab of wpForo?

There is an addon for wpForo called wpForo User Custom Fields. This addon is designed to allow you change almost all fields and layout of Profile / Account / Register and Member Search pages. More info:

Saw this was 2 months old, I was wondering if there’s an ETA on when this might be available. With BBPress it syncs and I can see what I’m doing on the forums from my UM profile page.

However, WPForo is far superior on most other functionality so I’d rather use this. It’s kind of the missing link at this point.

I’m not sure how this is marked as resolved. I am trying to use wpForo with Ultimate Member (v 2.0). I am new to WordPress, but not to software. When I install wpForo it changes my permalink structure to Post name without so much as a how do you do. This breaks Ultimate Member login, logout, and registration access. Ultimate Member appears to need the “plain” permalink structure. When I set permalinks to that, it breaks wpForo. I get the somewhat less than helpful message “IMPORTANT: wpForo can’t work with default permalink, please change permalink structure”. Is there a way for the two to coexist? I’m not looking for tight integration (although that would be nice).

I don’t think Ultimate Member only works with “plain” permalink structure. This is not SEO friendly and not recommended. please don’t use the default ?p=1 permalink type.
