Interaction with W3 Total Cache plugin
-
Dear Andrea and Augusto,
thank you for your plugin which I consider by far the best available on WP to secure headers.
I’ve installed it on a website where “W3 Total Cache” is in charge of ensuring better performances.
I must say that I had switched to Total Cache after finding out that it is the caching plugin with the minor impact on performances when working in combination with yours.
In this respect, I had had to uninstall WP Optimize caching plugin because of important conflicts with yours. The research for a fair compromise wasn’t easy.
So, I got Total Cache and I run a test on webpagetest.org. before installing Headers Security Advanced & HSTS WP.
With the only exception of the security score (which got “F” of course), all the other parameters scored the highest marks (A).
After installing your plugin, Security Score changed to A+ (spots on!), but the First Byte Time value tumbled down from “A” to “F”.
I understand intuitively that there must be something to be adjusted in the caching plugin, but I have no idea of where and what to go in search for. Your help would be much appreciated to make the experience with your plugin absolutely perfect.
Thanks a lot.
Giovanni.
