Imagify is interfering with the display of a caption bar that overlays a photo slider on our page, making it not visible for some slides. When it is deactivated, the bar reappears. I’m providing the link to the page, however, I have Imagify deactivated at the moment due to this conflict.

How can I troubleshoot this problem and solve it? Thank you.

    Hi @jamminjames

    Thank you for contacting us!

This kind of issue should be related to the WebP display option when using picture tags as sometimes it can be risky. If you deactivate the display WebP option(Settings > Imagify) and clear your caches is the issue fixed? Can you please check that? If so, the solution, in this case, would be to choose the rewrite rules way to display your WebP images(Settings > Imagify) unless you are using a Cloudflare/ CDN.

Further than the above, if you are not able to use rewrite rules and in order to fix the <picture> tag method, you can try to use this helper plugin?as it may be helpful in this kind of issues. Just install and activate it.

Feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

    Ioanna

I will try what you said, however, I am using Cloudflare, so what should I do in that case?

Okay, I ?deactivated the display WebP option, and it is displaying correctly. You said I could “choose the rewrite rules way to display your WebP images (Settings > Imagify) unless you are using a Cloudflare/ CDN.” I am using Cloudflare, so what should I do? Just not use WebP? Or is there a way to have it just not work for the slider?

Also, where that option is, it says, “If you choose to use rewrite rules, the file?conf/imagify.conf?will be created and must be included into the server’s configuration file (then restart the server).” That sounds like a nginx configuration file, correct? We do have an nginx server. But I don’t think we have a “conf” folder.
