Interfering with checkout

  • I had to disable the captcha because it was interfering with checkout, many previously registered customers called and told me they could not get past the captcha, even though I DID uncheck the settings for Woocommerce checkout on the settings page.

    I wanted to point out that I did notice from Wordfence (another plugin) that the spambots were virtually eliminated, so that is awesome, but the issue with the checkout page is a sticking point and forced me to disable the plugin, unfortunately. Too bad. Is there a known issue, or is this a new one? Basically, the problem is that if a customer forgot their password, they would try to change to a new one by resetting, but the captcha somehow prevented that. Maybe that’s normal, I don’t know?

    Hello and thanks. My website is https://www.rocketrobin.ca. The plugin is very useful and looks good, except for this. I appreciate it is free and so I appreciate your help. Not sure if there is anything you would find. Let’s see if I get any negative customer feedback now that it is disabled.

    I just received a bunch of huge orders since deactivating a few minutes ago! Sorry, brother, I think this plugin was the issue. But I don’t want the spam-bots either… hmmm, back to the drawing board… play with some settings maybe…

    I just tested this plugin on my test site. I was able to place an order with captcha on. I wonder if you have a cache plugin that is causing the captcha to be cached for a long period of time so that the captcha becomes invalid. You should not use cache plugins on a shopping cart checkout. Is that the problem?

    I’m going to try your other captcha plugin!

    So is it only the /my-account/lost-password/ page that is not working?
    That is working on my test server as well, though I did notice that if you type in a user name and don’t fill out the captcha or a wrong captcha it goes to a page with a message “ERROR: Empty CAPTCHA” << Back
    If you click back, it goes back to the form and now you cannot click “Reset password” again because there is some javascript that blocks it.

    Is this the problem? I am fixing this now (both my si captcha and recaptcha plugins probably need this fix)

    I just released an update with the lostpassword fix for both my si captcha and recaptcha plugins.

    * (20 Apr 2017) – Fix WooCommerce /my-account/lost-password/ page validation error causes cannot click “Reset password”.

    Another fix, are all the problems resolved now?

    (21 Apr 2017) – Fix “You have selected an incorrect reCAPTCHA value” error on WooCommerce checkout page if “Create an account” is checked.
