    Intergalactic 2 is a refreshed version of the original Intergalactic theme, available for download at the bottom of this page:

    New features include:

    • Added Featured Images on pages as well as posts.
    • Displayed Site description on all pages/archives/posts.
    • Added Custom Logo support.
    • Menu text added next to menu icon; site title/description/logo moved to the left.
    • Added three footer widget areas.
    • Used Jetpack Social Links (SVG) menu rather than a custom solution.
    • Swapped out custom author bio solution for Jetpack Author Bio, which you can display or hide via the Jetpack plugin’s Content Options panel in the Customizer.
    • Added full Jetpack Content Options support, minus the post content/excerpt option since this theme doesn’t display either.
    • Added Smarter Featured Images support, turned on by default since this theme relies on Featured Images for blog and archives. This feature automatically displays the first image in a post on the blog and archive pages. You can turn off this feature via the Content Options panel by unchecking the box next to “Automatically use first image in post.”
    • Removed post formats support.

      • We won’t be updating the original version of Intergalactic to avoid disrupting existing users. We hope you enjoy Intergalactic 2.
