Intergration into a static HTML Site

    Hi All,

    I am new to wordpress, well almost. Hope I am in the right forum. I have a static html site and want to control parts of it with WordPress like content area and footers for example ( i currently have wordpress installed in a folder on my root directory (cms). I have been searching on youtube, different sites for a tutorial in plain english on how to do this with no luck. All I want is to be able to use wordpress as a CMS without the blogging etc..

    Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
