Does anyone have any experience with setup at Interland? I’m having issues understanding the Interland config setup and the wordpress information required for the wp-config.php file. I’m getting an “No input file specified.” when I try to goto domain.com/blog/index.php on the interland web site. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • nuts. I’m still batting .0 today.

No, HandySolo, you were heard at the right time. It takes different language at different times to strike the right chord and yours just happened to be the one this time. Well done.

    ??

Well, yeah – if threads go on for almost 60 posts, someone better repeat the right stuff! That was you, Han Solo…. so there!

vkaryl, my bad… I was stuck in troubleshooting hell. I had everything setup fine (within 5 mins :-)and was working with the folks at CrystalTech that evening. Everytime I mentioned this they stated it was setup correctly. I called the following morning and spoke to another tech and persisted – they actually stated I needed to go back to WP for additional support… I stayed on the phone with them insisting all was correct on my end… and finally the tech stated index.php wasn’t included in the default pages.

your post: Um. Is your crystaltech install on a windows server too? For the directory listing problem, you may need to ask them to make sure “index.php” can be a legit index file in your site folders.

Thanks again for all your support!

Hey, s’okay. The important thing is/was/always will be that you get things figured out so you can get on with the important part: using the blog. Or your client can, whichever….

I was able to successfully install wordpress on my Linux Developer hosting account on Interland.

    1. Downloaded wordpress distribution (zip format)
    2. Unzipped locally
    3. FTP’d wordpress directory to Interland account
    4. created wp-config.php file (note had to use IP address of mysql server, not the hostname)
    5. Went to /wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and was up and running

No issues other than using IP address of db server.

Note that I used the Linux Developer Hosting plan.
