internal 500 error on installing

    I’m getting the “500 internal server” error when attempting to install a package.

    the “install.log” doesn’t show any errors or warnings.

    Hosting company is “freevirtualservers” (though the package was created successfully on a site hosted by Tsohost company.

    Just to add – if I do a manual extraction then it will work correctly – so I can get around the problem.

    Perhaps just a permissions issue?

    Manual extraction may work if the server is having issues with the zip extraction process and that is what is throwing the 500 error. This section on the FAQs with have other options to try:
