Internal 500 Error – Tried Everything
-
Hello All,
I am using wordpress as a CMS system and been building the site over the last few months. Finally had the site finished and we went live with it. All good so far, then all of a sudden on Tuesday I start getting an Internal 500 error ?? So I did a bit of searching and seemed like a common problem with the htaccess file. So i did all the steps with replacing it, then going to the permalinks to rebuild it. Works for a few minutes then starts going to the Internal 500. So I uninstalled all the plugins and tried again. Yep same problem. So I deleted all the plugins, and again it now works for about 5minutes then I get the internal 500 error.
I have contacted my host (JustHost) who say there is nothing wrong with there server. So now i am at a complete lost. I have tried to reinstall the wordpress using the built in function on the updates in the dashboard and that hasnt helped.
Im willing to pay for someone to fix this is they can be sure it’ll work.
Oh also i downloaded the whole site and scanned with norton, but no virus was found.
The one strange thing is, that once the HTACCESS is created. I tried changing the permissions to 444 so nothing could modify it. Then when the site crashed, i checked and the permissions had changed to 644?!?!?
Regards,
Steve
