internal page link change to url

    When I highlite a word, choose link and write part of the page title, the right page shows up markt as “page”

    When I click on the page title, the dialog disapears. When i highlight the word agai and click on the link option, it is the https url that is chosen, and not the page title link.

    I have deleted cash and deactivated cash plugins. The only plugins i have activated are rank math, otter and BackWPup

    My theme is schema lite.

    What to do?

  • I assume you are referring to a click order in the block editor you are using? For me, I can not understand the described unfortunately. Do you have any screenshots of what you see? You can upload them here: https://imgur.com

    Screenshot 2: when I check my setting, it shows a external URL instead of the internal page link.

    Unfortunately, I can’t access the screenshot links. They require a login.

    Yes, ok, you can see it. But does the URL bother you at that point? The link target (i.e. the URL) is still correct, isn’t it?

    as i undrstand it, internal links are important to CEO?

    I don’t know if any CEO would put a value on that. However, I assume you mean SEO. And yes, they are important. But wordpress already handles that for you so it’s also used as an internal link. Google and other search engines also recognize it as such once the domain is the same as from the website. So you should not worry about that.
