    Hi there, internal search is supposed to be set to noindex but we’re seeing this being set to index, follow on all our /?s=query pages:

    <meta?name="robots"?content="index, follow">

    We’re seeing a serious amount of spam results building up in Google now because of this.

    What can we do to set this to noindex?

    We’re using Yoast PRO, thanks!

    I’ve changed Do not display search archives in search engine results (noindex) in Titles & Metas to checked and it now shows:

    <meta name="robots" content="follow, noindex">

    Which is better! So this isn’t a hidden/default feature?

    Hi @ralpharama

    We are sorry to hear that you are facing an issue with the internal search pages showing as index. By default, the internal search pages will be set as noindex. And within the Crawl optimization feature, we added more options to restrict the indexing of the search pages; you can read more at here.
