  • Same problem here, but it was the 0.51 version of the “Structured blogging” plugin for my 1.5 wp that caused the trouble.
    unknown why…..

I tried install the new 0.52 S.B., but no, S.B. is the only plugin making problems for me..

Probably should contact the plugin author, then….

Okat then. I am a host and we have the same problem going on here with one, that is only one WP domain.

    We get the errors:

not found or unable to stat – for index.php

    We get database connection errors.

We have 9 WordPress sites all of which are the latest code, using the same plugins, different themes but no other differences…and all of which are working without a problem with exception to the one domain.

We have created a subsomain and attempted to install a fresh copy of WP on that domain and get the same errors for ../install.php as well as database connection errors.

How can any server upgrade affect only one domain with WP installed?

We have deleted the domain…recreated it (after being certain all server info is deleted on that domain. Then we re-created it and attempted to install a fresh copy of WP.

Same thing. …unable to stat and database connection errors.

I am perplexed. Any help will be appreciated.

What vunerability does this link refer to?

Is there a person or persons I can direct particular questions to, . . . . outside the support forums?

Just wondering, cuz I have 30 topics I’ve either started or requested help on with there never being another reply posted to those topics.

I am aware it isn’t personal because of the success of WordPress, but some response would be helpful to a host attempting to build on free WordPress hosting.

So sorry. I suppose my questions are in opposition to successfully implementing a full WordPress offering from our services.

Although we are unable to receive any support we will continue to offer free WordPress sites because we support the project 100%.

We are, however, unsure why none of our support requests are answered.

Again, no problem. Our support will remain at 100%.

gnukerman: I’m not sure your issue is anything to do with the shortstat plugin at this point.

If it’s situational as regards single installs of wp on one domain, then you might simply start a new topic so that it gets seen. If you’ve implemented wordpress-mu, you can’t get support for that here, the only possible place for support (though I think it’s REALLY thin) is https://mu.www.ads-software.com/.

    gnukerman

    (@gnukerman)

We don’t use MU. We would only like to have questions answered on WP but can never get any response no matter from me, nor my business partner.

You are the first to reply to any support query directly relating to our questions in months.

Matter-a-fact, each time we request help on an open topic, ours is the last reply with no other answer forthcoming.

Thank you for taking the time to prove there are people that wish to offer support.

    (@vkaryl)

Okay, with the MU issue out of the way….

Please do me a favor: in a new post, iterate your problem with as much detail as you can including version of wp, and links to the relevant installations (I know you’ve done it here – but it’s not making any sense to me at this point, and its not related to this particular topic issue really – UNLESS you are using the shortstat plugin).

Then give us all a couple of days to look at the relevant links and consider the situation. I promise I will not forget you, I will look for your new post, and bookmark it separately.

[It does seem odd that one of nine is having a totally off problem, so ANYTHING you can give in the way of relevant differences could help one of us to have one of those “lightbulb” moments….]
