I am recieving an internal server error when I try to access wp-admin or simply log in.

All pages view just fine, however anytime I try to access my admin I get the internal server error message.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
    * uploaded an empty .htaccess file

the blog can be found at https://thelight.skiilight.com

maye try renaming plugins folder to deactivate them all

    Internal Server Error 500

I too am having the same problem. I attempted the steps provided by samboll above but did not help. My theme is missing from my site and I am still unable to log into wp-admin/admins.php. Here are some of the things I have tried.

Attempted to rename the the Plugins folder to “renamed_plugins” but that does not stop the “Error 500 – Internal server error”.

Attempted to rename the themes folder to “renamed_themes”. This basically leaves me w/ a blank page when i go to my site.

Went back in changed themese folder name back. Now my blog shows up.

The theme I last had active was the pistachio theme. Went in and renamed it to removed_pistachio.

This again cause’s the whole blog to not show up. just a blank page.

I am going to head back to google and dig around. I’ll update here with what I do to get my blog back up.
