internal server error
-
Hi,
I can’t log into the admin area of my blog and it doesn’t show the theme I selected. It was working fine for a couple months and then just started messing up. I had just made some tweaks which may have had something to do with it. I had someone look into it and this is what he said:
Hello, Chris. You may be getting these problems due to WordPress being improperly configured. For example, the formatting information is clearly missing from your blog. When I take a look at the code on the page (looking specifically for the cascading style sheet files, i.e., things that end with .css), I notice that WordPress is looking for these files in your root folder. Here’s an example:
https://chrislewismh.com/wp-content/themes/arjuna-x/style.css
The /wp-content folder is actually inside your /blog folder, so the file path should really look like this:
https://chrislewismh.com/blog/wp-content/themes/arjuna-x/style.css
You may need to go and edit the settings that govern the locations that WordPress uses. You may need to change this information directly through the database since your admin pages are down. Unfortunately, I’m not sure of the specific steps to do this, but you may be able to find some help through the following address:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WordPress_Lessons
I hope that helps.
I think he’s right, but I don’t know how to change it back. If I knew which file has the errant URL’s I could do it. Can you help with this. I’ve put a lot into this blog and would really rather not have to reinstall and start from scratch. Thanks for you help and have a wonderful day.
