Internal Server Error when trying to log in; site is up

When I try to log into the admin dashboard, I get this error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
I found a similar topic to this posted 2 yrs 8 mo ago (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/internal-server-error-when-logging-in-2/) and I followed James’ three suggestions (via FTP: rename plugins folder; rename .htaccess file; rename active theme). None of them worked.
I looked for an error log and only found this: 04-03-2024 18:48:13 – ERROR – 8.0.7 – 40.1 MB/256 MB – [cron] > Blocked by transient newsletter_main_engine set 0 seconds ago by /home/dh_leica/mollymoran.org/;dawson
I would love other ideas, as I need to be able to log into this site pretty soon. Thanks!

I would really think it to work once you renamed the plugins folder though so quite strange it didint.
Could be something in themes or .htaccess then.
You could try editing the phpmyadmin database on your web hosts server and then try changing the theme there aswell as @sterndata stated.
Alternatively why not just ask your web host for assistance, I am sure they would be glad to fix it for you.
