Internal Video Player Doesn't Show Buttons, Need Help

I have a portfolio page and i selected “video” for it, I dont want to embed the video as it doesnt resize with my page. So i put a link to my wp-content folder.
the video shows up, but the big “play” button symbol is not in the center of the video. When hovering the mouse over the video the play, stop, and skim buttons are not showing either. Where is the internal player php located? How can I check this error?
