International Payments?

  • Will payments using international currencies (outside of US and Canadian dollars) be supported through the payment gateway?

    If yes, will there be any additional surcharges made to the merchant account to support international payments?

    If no, what would be the steps to take to support international currencies?

    As far as we know, WooCommerce handles the currency. I don’t believe we have any restrictions within the plugin itself, so it should just connect Woo to the gateway. If you think we do, I can look into it further.

    We are also not sure about what costs a merchant account provider outside the US charges; most likely, it will vary. If you are concerned about costs due to currency conversion, that is done by the card issuer and not the processor. Any costs for that will be incurred by the consumer using the card.
