Internet Explorer Compatability Issues – Not Working

    My work computer uses internet explorer 8 and my wordpress site looks terrible on it. The revolution slider does not load, the images further down have merged and the writing on those images has disappeared, but even worse the ability to add a product to the cart is non-existent. I am not sure if it is the same on all IE versions, but it is like this for at least IE8. How can I make my website compatable with internet explorer?

    If someone could explain how to fix it in very basic terms I’d really appreciate it as I don’t have lots of web development experience.
