Internet explorer users cannot see the ‘dropdown’ and ‘multi select’ fields in the registration form – what can be done about this?

    Many thanks in advance!

Hi @nsinelnikov, you seem to be a wizard on UM – do you by any chance have any ideas on how I could address this issue? Very grateful for your support.

    Hi @chilit

I have visited to your registration page and saw these JS errors from 3rd party plugin and your theme.

    2020-01-24_1354

This stops the execution of the JS script. If you will fix these errors then select2 element will be visible.

Ok fantastic, many thanks for your quick response. I am unfortunately a big rookie on these things and have no idea how to fix the errors – do you have any advice on where I could read more about this type of issue and how to fix it? THANK YOU. Cheers, Annica

    Hi @champsupertramp!

Thanks a lot for reaching out. The above issue finally got resolved, but I have actually just encountered another one. I will try to describe it in case you would be able to help, which would be fantastic!

I have created a registration form on this page: https://effektfullt.se/register-pro-org/

In accordance with the UM instructions (https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/87-adding-a-registration-form) I have included one field for username (with the validation criteria that it must be unique) and one field for password.

I have also included a field for email, without any validation criteria i.e. it must not be unique.

The registration form works fine when I register with a new email address that has not been registered before. The problem arises when I try to register using an email address that I have used before. When I click “Register”, the page just reloads and no registration comes through. Why does it not allow me to use an email that I have used before, in spite of that I have set it to that the email does not need to be unique?

I want for it to be possible to register an email address that has been used before, because this registration form is for a premium membership and some of those that apply for the premium membership have already registered before as basic members. So I want for them to be able to reuse their email address for both memberships.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide!

    Best,
    Annica
