Normally a plugin I install on every-site. Might reconsider this now there is an intrusive animated black Friday advert that loads on every single admin page.

Understand you need revenue to support the plugin, but this feels like overreach. Am awaiting clients raising support requests about this, thinking their sites have been hacked or asking why they are receiving advertising on their own sites for something called ‘Yoast’ ??

    Hi,
I checked the php code and i found a file class-admin-banner.php. They planted an automation appearence for the banner from November 28th 12:00 CET to December 3rd 15:00 CET.
Indeed is not acceptable as we all web developers install this plugin on our clients websites.

    Hi @ianatkins,

    Thanks for your comment.

We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so we listened to our community and yesterday we publicly apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused to our users (link to Twitter) and released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel.

We appreciate your taking the time to send your feedback.
