    Hi,

With the PDF plugin enabled Woocommerce has trouble sending the New Order mail. On WP Mail Log it says the mail has been sent, but it indicates an Invalid address (setFrom) error.

I am sending with the standard WordPress internal mail system.

With the plugin disabled, everything is fine. The client, however, needs the PDFs to be send with the invoices. Please advise.

Hi! We recently had a similar report here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/invalid-address-setfrom/
though the analysis there was pointing towards Mailgun and you write that you are using the internal WordPress mail system.
We do not modify any of the headers or from address, this is all done by WooCommerce/WordPress itself so it’s still a bit of a mystery to us why this is happening. Could you send your WooCommerce system report (WooCommerce > Status > Get system report) to [email protected] so we can try to further replicate this?
Could you also include a screenshot of your ‘from’ address settings in WooCommerce under WooCommerce > Emails > Email sender options?

If you have access to the PHP error log and you could include that too, that’d be fantastic. Hopefully that information will give us some hints on what could be going wrong…

+1 – having the same problem – been driving me crazy!

Of note, with the plugin installed i can still go into the order screen, and using the woocommerce function use the “email invoice / order details” and it mails out fine.

but if i use the pdf function right below it (Completed order – save order & send email) it fails with the error

I’m sorry to hear that. With regards to the “email invoice / order details” email, is that sending with the PDF attached? Unfortunately we still haven’t been able to recreate this anywhere…

If you could answer the questions I asked above that would be very helpful:

If you can test this and let us know the results, that’d be fantastic!

We released version 2.2.14 today which includes fix mentioned the above thread. Based on reports from other users I believe this should resolve the setFrom error in PHPMailer. Let us know if the problem persists!
