I’ve used SendGrid on my sites + for some reason this site fails when attempting to set the API key.

    1) API key set @ SendGrid with all features enabled.

    2) WordPress Swift-Mailer-5.4.1 installed

    3) WordPress SendGrid-1.7.4 installed

    4) Cut + paste API Key returned during API Creation into SendGrid plugin setttings

    5) Click update

Message returned is “API Key is invalid.” so let me know the best way to debug this.

    Thanks.

Hum… Just installed exact same setup on a simple test site + everything works as usual, so this means the theme or some plugin is causing a problem.

If you have any idea how to debug this, short of disabling every plugin + enabling one by one, let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hello David,

We can’t reproduce your issue. Please provide us more details:

    1. What configuration are you using when pressing the Update Settings button (Send mail method, e.g.) ?
    2. Can you give us a list of plugins you are using? If using other mail plugins, there is a slight change that will be the cause of your problem.

Looking forward to hear from you,
    SendGrid

    I also had this issue.
Then realised I was pasting the API KEY ID from https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/api_keys (and not the API KEY itself).

This API KEY ID is somewhat confusing. I am used to getting the ‘real’ API key from my account with many other apps. With Sendgrid, the API KEY is only shown ONCE it is generated. There is no way to see/retrieve it later.

It’s not really intuitive for API keys not to be shown under an ‘API Keys’ menu. Also what are API KEY ID shown for?

Anyway, just generated a new key and all works fine.

    Hi @maelga

Api Key Id is used to manage API Keys using our API: https://sendgrid.com/docs/API_Reference/Web_API_v3/API_Keys/index.html

    Thanks
