Invalid App ID?

    Hi,
    I recently started seeing the following message in Facebook Debugger (possible just since the last couple updates of Yoast SEO, but I can’t confirm that entirely):

    “The app id (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) in fb:app_id metatag is invalid. The default app id (966242223397117) will be assigned instead when this URL is shared to Facebook.”

    Do you have any suggestion for how to fix that? The app id is associated with the Yoast SEO plugin installed on my website, https://acim.biz, and IS valid; I have even set up a new app id in hopes of that fixing this error message (it didn’t). I did some Google searches to find a fix for this as well, but haven’t found any solutions so I’m reaching out to you.

    This is not related to Yoast plugin.

    Ok. Can you say what may be causing the issue?

    It has to do with the latest Facebook update, i don’t think it’s relevant, I wouldn’t waste my time on it.

    Thank you. My next question was going to be, if the Facebook error is actually “hurting” anything. As far as I can tell, everything on my site is functional.

    We had this error. We turned on the app’s public setting, and the error went away.
