    Hi Children of Promise,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Can you attempt to both export and import the file once again?

I am experiencing the exact same issue now. I tried to re export as advised above but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I’ve never had this issue before.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Any ideas?

I had the same issue, Here’s how I fixed it.

I disabled (turned off) ModSecurity for the account I was Importing from and exporting to and retried it and it worked fine.

Note: I also use an after market security plugin called Pyxsoft on my Server and I believe this could’ve been the issue, By disabling ModSec on an account, it will disable the Pyxsoft scanner too.

Hope this helps people in the future.

    Ditto on issue.

@petrut – thank you, but I do not know how to turn off ModSecurity for the account, nor if I can since I do not manage my own server.

@pim (plugin author) – do you have advice beyond exporting/importing it again? I have tried repeatedly to know avail.

    Celenie,

What you might try to do is disable any security plugins (if you have any), or any other plugins that aren’t necessary while the export is happening. From What PetruT said, there could be some compatibility issues with your plugins.

    Celenie,

    Thanks for your message.

You may want to try and contact your host and ask them to disable Mod Security for your account. then run the import and get them to reactivate it.

I’m not sure exactly weather it was ModSec or Pyxsoft that was causing the issue, But what Pyxhsoft does is it scans all incoming files being uploaded via HTTP, and because this plugin is so advanced, it probably detects some suspicious behavior when importing the site again.

If you cant get them to disable ModSec, You may need to migrate manually.
Unless there is a way you can upload the file via FTP and then import it like that, Which I believe you need to purchase that function.

Best bet would be to ask your host. Good luck ??

    Hi celenie,
Is it possible for you to contact us – support at servmask.com for further investigation?

    Joseph and PetruT,
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
You can also upload .wpress file via FTP to wp-content/ai1wm-backups and then restore it using the Backups section without purchasing our FTP Extension.

Had the same export/import to/from problem. Followed PetruT’s suggestion to use FTP and that worked great. This particular web site is hosted on AT&T Business web server. Have several other web sites on Blue Host that have no problem at all. Go figure?!
