Invalid argument supplied for foreach

    Hi,

    After the last update, I am now seeing this error when I go to any of my three sites under multi-site WordPress:

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/jaggerwa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-edit/main.php on line 2846

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/jaggerwa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-edit/main.php:2846) in /home/jaggerwa/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1174

    If I “Network Deactivate” the WP Edit plugin, I am able to log in again. I unstalled and re-installed the plugin. But, still getting the same error.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Was this plugin previously installed on the multi-sites? Or did you just install it on these multi-sites? Meaning, was it working before or did you just install it?

    That line has to do with the buttons being output on the WP Edit settings page. You might want to try to go in manually to your DB, and delete the entry for “wp_edit_buttons”. This will clear that options value; and next time you reactivate the plugin, it will populate that value with the defaults.

    I ran across this same issue after upgrading from v3.9.

    For my install (3 sites), I had activated WP Edit through a network activate. The ‘wp_edit_buttons’ option was available in the wp_1_options table, but not in wp_2_options or wp_3_options. The fix for me was to network deactivate, then activate WP Edit individually for each of the 3 sites.

    At that point, I believe you could then switch back to a network activate, but I left it as is.

    Yes, the free version of this plugin doesn’t really support network activation. Even if network activated; I believe the options will only change for the main sub-site (wp_1) table; as options are adjusted in the plugin.

    As you already mentioned; activating the plugin on each sub-site will definitely work.

    If you are interested in network administration (all sub-sites using the same options; or managing sub-site options independently while keeping the plugin network activated), I encourage you to take a look at the pro version. It has an entire “option handling system” while network activated.

    For my current three web sites, I have always had multi-site. And, up to now, I was only familiar with being able to network deactivate.

    I did what blueatlas suggested and that seemed to work. Thanks!
