Ok, we should have the issue fixed within the next month. I’ve edited this issue and marked it as unresolved for now.
That’s about the best timeframe I can give for the minute.

If you have any thoughts on the current version of the plugin or suggestions for future versions, please let me know in the meantime.

Hi, this is Peter from the BNFW team. We’ve just posted a fix 0.2.1b – could you please update to this version and let us know in this thread whether the PHP warnings are resolved?

Regarding the post_excerpt tag: this is likely to be blank because you haven’t filled out the “excerpt” field, which is hidden by default. You can enable the excerpt field under “screen options” for the post page: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Administration_Panels#Screen_Options

I upgraded to 0.2.1b but still… After i edited a post i receive an email, but not with a link or WHAT is changed.

THe email template looks like this (translated:

Er is een bericht gewijzigd door <strong>[display_name]</strong> op <strong>[post_date]</strong>

<p>Hier is een samenvatting: <br /></p>
<em>[post_excerpt]</em>

Am i forgetting something? Can i forward you the notification mail?

Hi Rob, it sounds to me like the rest of the email is blank because you have not entered anything into the ‘excerpt’ field of your post. So you have two options: either enable the excerpt field for your posts by following the instructions from my above response, or customise the email template to better suit your needs. You can find a full list of shortcodes in the readme file, but if you’d like some further assistance setting up your templates please post back here and I’ll do my best to help.

Ah – that did the trick. I was too fast reading your previous answer.
I was hoping it would show the exact modifications in a post (like you see in previous versions of a post).
But for now i can live with the Summary field. I put the title of the post there, should be enough for my other editors.

Great stuff, glad to hear we’ve got this resolved. I’ve made a note about your suggestion of seeing changes to an edited post, we’ve got lots in the pipeline for future development and any feature requests are welcome at this stage.
