I disabled the Clef plugin, installed and activated Keyy and tried to scan the QR code. The message I get on the iOS app was “Invalid code scanned no host, or query items found”. I look after 4 websites and two worked OK and two had this error. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Could you open the developer console on the page with QR code and check the URL that is output there?

It’s probably missing “https://” or “https://” due to some server configuration and as a result the iOS app currently thinks it’s not a valid code scanned.

Version 1.2.2 has a fix for this but it’s still waiting on Apple to review.

Hopefully it gets released at some point today or tomorrow.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

@teamjeck Also – can you confirm which version of Keyy (the plugin, not the app) you have installed? We had someone else with this before, and could not reproduce it ourselves, but made some changes which we thought should prevent it (we didn’t hear back from the person with the problem). But it sounds like we did not succeed.

Is there any possibility of giving us a login on one of the affected sites so that I can look directly, and hopefully fix this for all time? (I am the lead developer for the plugin – Ashley is for the iOS app). If so, let me know, and I will give you a way of contacting us securely to send them.

The link underneath the QR code has https:// in front, so that bit looks OK.

Keyy version 0.6.5. OK about you logging in. Just let me know.

@teamjeck Thanks for letting me know. Though, that’s not the link that is the one involved. That is generated by a different bit of code. The one that @aporter was asking about appears in your developer console. You can open that following these instructions: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-open-my-browsers-developer-tools/

All working now. What I had to do was change the user name for the admin account. My user names started with a number. For example if the username was 4dmin, using the developer console, I could see the URL Keyy was producing was Keyy: QR URL: [email protected]/?context……I hope this helps?

Yes! Thank you. There was indeed a bug with usernames starting with numbers. Now fixed in the just-released 0.6.7…. please update, and all should be well!

    David
