I have updated to 2.2.1 and still get error.

I want to get the site map submitted.

Should I just uncheck Yoast site map and use another plugin for sitemaps?

also getting “An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.” when i test sitemap.

Yes, also getting the same! I think better to use another plugin for the Sitemaps!

Yes karyyyn. I waited for an answer here but none was forth coming so I disabled the xml sitemap function in the WP SEO plugin and installed another sitemap plugin which submitted to GWT fine.

I’m having the same problem. Here is a more recent report of the same issue, in case someone replies to that first.

Same problem for me also. I would use another seo plugin but moving over an old website and have already done so much work with meta descriptions etc.. Not good ??

Disable “sitemaps that do NOT have a date by them.” worked for me!
Yoast SEO->XML Sitemaps->taxonomy-> here disable the ones that don’t have a date in your XML sitemaps

    Hi,
@artann, thanks a ton! This worked for me. No more errors now. ::)
I am wondering if disabling the ones without dates will cause any problems with the search engine or something? Does disabling them mean that Google won’t pick these up? I am sorry I am a beginner and have no idea about all this. I am just following whatever tutorials are there on the internet.
    Thanks
